Review methodology

Hands-on testing, practitioner interviews, and scenario modeling feed into our weighted scoring rubric. We only recommend tools that survive realistic workloads.

Testing stack

Each product spins up in an isolated environment where we log telemetry across performance, governance, and support signals. Lab builds mirror common enterprise architectures so you can map findings to real deployments.

Scoring rubric

Scores weight usability, resilience, integration depth, and total cost of ownership. Every criterion receives a 0–10 subscore that rolls into the published aggregate and informs the “Our Take” summary that accompanies each review.

Verification

Before publication, a second reviewer replicates key workflows and signs off on the evidence package. We revisit marquee products every six months or whenever a major release could change the verdict.

Loaner equipment

Vendors may provide temporary licenses or loaner hardware. Acceptance never guarantees favorable coverage, and equipment is returned or deactivated once testing concludes.
